The Bowls section was established as part of Kings Heath Cricket and Sports Club on its Alcester Rd site in 1932. With approximately 50 members the vast majority of who play regularly it is a thriving section of the club.

The Club fully subscribes to Bowls England. The Men are affiliated to Warwickshire County Bowls Association and enter two teams the Birmingham Bowling Association as well as the BBA Evergreens Leagues for the senior players. The Men is well respected in Birmingham and has a good record in Winning Division 1 with the second team often yo-yoing between Div 1 and 2.

The Women have a team in the Birmingham and District Womens Bowling Association Leagues. To provide all members with opportunities the club has a full programme of Saturday Fixtures usually involving some 20 - 30 home players with other local clubs.

The Club has a prestigious past with Peter Gill winning the County Singles in 1975. Mark Clarke was the National Singles Finalist in 2001 and became an International trialist for the subsequent two years. Current members have made an impact with Kath Steer winning the 1983 Saga Singles and the Current Secretary Jim Freeman is the Warwickshire team, Manager and in the last 10 years or so has skipped the Clubs Triples and fours to a number of County successes. The Club provides a conduit for individuals to enter Birmingham, Warwickshire and National Competitions. Internal Club competitions are run throughout the year culminating in an enjoyable finals weekend in September and a Presentation lunch in November.

Helena Williamson was the 2011 BDWBA President and Pat Bonser was the County Treasurer for 2002-6.

The Club is fortunate to have its own pavilion as well as being an integral section of Kings Heath Cricket Club with its excellent Club house facilities for catering and range of Cask Ale Beers with our entry in the CAMRA Year book.
